Map sensor is mounted 'on top' of the A/C evaporator box.. Near the blower motor.. It has 3 studs with nuts sticking 'up' attaching it and bracket to the box.. Passenger/right side at the firewall.. It also has a rubber hose/red spring clamps that attaches to the intake.. Good luck with the install..

A foot or so to the left of the turbo as you stand on the front bumper.

Thanks HP

I think I'm stuck tonight .
I'm actually hooking up a X-Monitor and was drilling for the pyro starting small and steping up in drill size . I get to the 7/16 bit and can't locate my 1/2 inch drill......I tried using bubble gum and duct tape in the 3/8 drill with no luck
Oh well I'll finish up tomorrow

Thanks again!!!

Monster duty If I may make a suggestion. forget about going into the map sensor if you have a 2004 it will cause the gage to fluctuate. I ended up tapping into the intake elbow. when I had it in the map sesor I could'nt even tell what the boost was it fluctuated so bad and made a loud buzzing sound. After tapping the intake elbow, it works perfectly. Hope this helps. Jerry

Hmm... Im not sure about this, but I think something else is going on. I have the attitude monitor spliced on the MAP sensor line and it is solid as a rock...
What kind of gauge do you have?

Mine is taped into the map line too. no problems either. The line comes straight up out of the pass i think valve cover and sticks into the bottom of the map sensor. Maybe 10" of rubber hose wrapped in plastic.

I had the same problem the other night! Mine ('03) MAP line is red but is covered completely with the same sheath as all the wiring, so I was looking right at it for 30 minutes. Like the guys said, pass side "valve cover" up to the MAP which hangs on a bracket on the firewall.

The fluttering only happens on the 2004 models for some reason. I never had it happen to my 1996 or the 2003. The gages are banks. there is a big discussion about this on another site. When I said above that is fluctated, that was a missunderstatement it actualy fluterd from 30 down to zero and back. All is fine now that I have tapped into the intake elbow where some of you guys installed water injection nozzles.

You are right Tim !!! Everyone here is AWESOME !!!
I have another question for everyone .
Where did you guys tap in for a power source for your gauges ?

I notice under the dash there's several wires coming out of a wire loom .
The red, white, blue and black goes inside the engine compartment, the other 4 wires are for what ?

Thanks !!!

I use a five gallon bucket.... and a towel so I don't scratch the paint on the fender.

Remove the cover under the steering column:

You will see a (red with yellow trace) wire for switched ignition power. Instrument lighting power (yellow) 2nd from the top left of the grey connector.
