2003 crewcab vibration

I have a crewcab f-350 longbed and near 40mph i get a vibration or a hopping feeling. I have recently lifted it but it did it before and still does. Local ford dealership says it the driveline. My buddy has a 01 cc lb 4x4 with a V-10 and has the same problem ford told him the same thing that it is the rear driveline. The thing is he took the rear driveline out and drove it in 4x4 and vibration is still there. Does anyone have this problem or fixes to ghet it taken care of. Any info would help. Thanks. Eric

When you did your lift, did you put the spacer in between the drive line carrier bearing and the frame? I have a 2.5" level kit w/ very little vibes(no spacer). Buddy has a 6" lift with no spacer(tons of vibes). I didnt have any when the truck was stock. I believe the shim for the level kit is a piece of 3/16" or 1/4" steel. This might help, might not.

Check the carrier bearing. It seems to be a common culprit on the longer lifted trucks. I have heard 1/4" shim for each inch of lift, but you should verify that before you do it.
