I have been speaking with a out of province dealer who has a new 2004 6.0 PSD F350 CC forsale. He gave me the VIN IFTSX31P84ED61583. I was hoping I would be able to determine the build date of the vehicle. I had a friend who lives near the dealer check the value covers (as mentioned by others on this site) to determine the build date. Unfortunately, my friend only noted that the build date says "2004".

I did ask the dealer and he said it was a late 2004 build - however - I would like to confirm this myself by using the VIN. Any info which can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

My only other question is related to the build date - is this build date late enough to have the corrections/fixes to the early growing pains of the 6.0 PSD engine.
