Looks like I'm going to go with the '04. Can't turn down the incentives. Need to do mirror swap though. Has small power mirrors, I need the tow mirrors. The truck is a 250 crew 4x4 lariat. Is it wasy to swap mirrors? will the wiring be there and match up?
Also thinking about remote start. truck hat the security group, Will the Ford remote start system just plug in to harnesses, or is it fairly technical?
Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, but I hope you all can help.
Thanks
Taz
Things may have changed, but 2 years ago when I was looking for a remote starter the Ford system was not "plug and play". It had to be wired the same as any other brand.
Because of all the features in even the simplest remote start (additional stuff for diesels too) they all require some expertise to install...
for that reason, and the fact that it would be covered under my 100k extended warranty ) I got my ford Gold installed as part of the sale... think it was less than $475 installed ?.... IIRC
and is worth EVERY penny in these hot Texus summers to be able to get in a cool truck !!!
