Holdback

Can someone explain the 2 to 3 percent holdback that the dealers get from ford . I heard about this somewhere. I am going thursday to make a deal and I want to go in there being able to negotiate best lowest possible price. I get the xplan and the 2.9 financing is cheaper than taking the $3000. rebates plus i get a $1000. off if i finance through ford. Thanks in advance for any info!

I've read somewhere that Blue Oval dealers get another 1.25% back from Ford. My sales guy denies this. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
