My local Edge guy wants $1400 for the 3" kit with install, alignment, Bilsteins, and adjustable trac bar. Too rich for my blood, I'm curently looking at the Revtek 2.5" kit. Anyone running the Revtek 2.5"?
I used a Revtek 2.5 inch on my Tundra and loved it. Quality was great - easy install... You will do good with it...
I just got the Edge kit,it is actually being put on as I type. The installation is going to take 2-3 days, but I am getting a lot of work done. I just got a 04 SD turbo deisel 4WD a few weeks ago. It is basically a shop/demo truck for my company. So we are putting a lot of work into the truck.
I am getting the 12.5 Edge system with 42" tires. Center line rims, Bilstein shocks with the dual shock hoop mounts and 4 Kodiak sidewinder steps.
I would look at a BDS lift. I have one on my Bronco. It is the only American made lift and has a lifetime guarantee against sag and defects. As soon as I get my Sd I will probably go with the BDS
I have never heard of an Edge lift before. I've been reading 4wheel since '86 must be new.? I have a Superlift on my Bronco, or better yet half of the kit on so far. I've also heard very good things about Skyjacker lifts. My problem during the install is a cracked radius arm mount. Is this common? It's cracked just above the hole where the arm bolts on.
maybe it's a sd thing I didn't relize this was a thread in the sd catagory. Just did a search on lifts

The edge is a lift produced by Kreg Donahoe ,at Donahoe racing.
He has been in off road racing for a while and has developed his own kit for the SD's.
It is a great product, but imo, over priced.
Skyjacker lifts are ok, but there are better out there for the same price.
When you say cracked radius arm mount...are you talking about a Super Duty or ??
I agree. I have never compared the two (edge/superlift) kits. I do know one thing.......my truck rides BETTER than stock. The ride is more solid andcontrolled. I went with the mild valved edelbrock reservoirs in the front and single edelbrock reservoir in the rear. The shocks are nitrogen charged which I think is the ticket with ANY lift. I could have gone with the FOX all the way around, but I opted to chance the Edelbrocks. I LIKE THEM. Add a few billet clamps to these& you got a BITCH*N setup. I am curious to ride in a Superlift truck. For now I am completely ecstatic about how my truck looks, rides and feels when I drive it after installing the 6" EDGE kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the edge costs more. Although it is not always true ( 90% of the time it is) you get what you pay for. Good Luck to everyone installing a kit alone. It is alot of work. Buy some beer and invite a mechanic buddy over.
Id recomend Superlift guy.. they have there 10 leaf spring packs, i run up front( and have had mulitple setups now).. and the springs are as good as any.. look at my gallery for a pic of a edge 6" spring compared to Superlift.. there next to identical.. Yeti is correct... in the fact that for the price your sitting pretty with superlift... make sure you go with some gas shocks if you can.. Eldebrocks are OIL shocks as are Ranchos... Any kit you get, get without shocks.. order your shocks from Truck Toys(email me for the number if you need) or any other EDGE distributer..they are putting out there own line of shocks(DR Racing).. available this week, custom valved for superduties for comparable price to bilsteins... ie you could get a none reseviour custom valved shock for about $80 a piece and the ride will be night and day over the competition due to the heavy compression dampinin in all generic vavled shocks that SDs(leaf sprung trucks)...dont need.... good luck..
JOE blow.. no one needs to explain why we do or dont like edge more or less than the competition.. why dont you explain why you like it more than the others so much and we'll listen... see i think edge is the best out there.. but not for my money.. i recomend it to anyone but i dont run it... but what we dont like on here is someone who constantly pesters everyone about how one kit is so superior to the others....... heres some advice on your setup.. friendly advice dude no harm meant..
JOe Blow.. im sure you know dude, but those Edlebrocks are the weak link in your ride.. there are nitro pressurized OIL shock...there not a pure gas shock and thus not as responsive, not progressive, and not as resistant to heat fade, and due to there un specific valveing and the fact your running duals up front would suggest your totallyin cancling the fact that you have progressive high flex denver springs..( you could ask donahoe if you dont want to listen to me).....so as you talk about such a good ride.. and it is better than most no doubt.. you could have a great ride if you went with some valved gas shocks such as bilstien 5100 or 7100s valved by donahoe, or now EDGE has there own shocks(will be out this week).. that are very similiar in price and apperance but will all be custom valved.. just advice

go ahead with the blows bro.. im just trying to give you advice from my experiance.. from being on this forum for years, to running over 3-4 differnt lift setups/shocks on my truck...
something id like to add. is that nitro charged oil shocks like the edlebrocks are comon and most race shock applications are of this setup.. its just the advantage of the specific vavling DR racing offers with either the bilsteins or there new line is the real advantage... if you could get specific custom valving with the edelbrocks. .they'd be just as good... it just the heavy,medium,light.. options are not the best because there giving you "medium" comp and rebound valving.. what you really need to make a SD ride good is Very LIght compression and very heavy rebound damping.. its not a gas vs oil shock issue.. thats how i made it sound above and that is misleading.. most full up race shocks are oil, gas charged.. i dont know why that is but it is.. probably to keep costs down..
