05 trailer brake controller

[FONT=Arial]

I would like to find out any information about the new brake controller on the 05 SD. Customer Service was of no use and referred me to the dealer who was clueless! My main concern is whether this brake controller will work on my electric/hydraulic disc brake system on my fifth wheel trailer. I had done extensive research via e-mail to numerous companies that make brake controllers, and there are few that are recommended for this braking system. There are only a few that are "compatible" as they say for electric/hydraulic brakes. Tekonsha says that the Voyager, and Envoy are compatible, the newest controller, the Prodigy is not. I have the Voyager now and it works great! I am thinking of trading up to the newer 05 and would like to know if this new Ford Tow Command brake controllerwill work with my trailer. Any help from the Ford Techs out there would be greatly appreciated!!

The Envoy controller is indeed compatible. I did not know the Prodigy wasn't, though. I am glad and grateful I learned that. It has seemed to me that the Prodigy would work on the Space Shuttle!! (LOL) I did have access to Envoy information and it is compatible, though.

I hope this is helpful to you.
