I was just wondering who makes the new brake controller for the 05 super duty's?? I have a '03 F250 and I was looking to put in a brake controller for some time now and then I heard that ford was coming out with one in the 05... should have just waited a bit longer to buy that darn truck, oh well hey.. just upgrade. So I hear that it is a verry good controller and I think it looks great(pics on website). I WANT. If anyone knows anything about this please, dont be shy.
I have been told that the picuture may be all that we see of the new controller. I have an 05 coming in Aug and the dealer said that the truck would not have the controller. I am not very happy about the deal but short of not taking the truck I am sure that the ball is in their court. I hope you ask your dealer if the information I have is correct. I would like to be surprised when I look inside the truck for the first time. He said that this would not be the first thing that Ford has advertised as factory equipment and never came trough with. My 03,60 CC 4X4 is just getting better with each trip. I now have 23K of 98% trouble free miles and can really not think of a reason for trading, except for the climate contol and heated seats. The older we get the more maintaince is require to keep our "pearly whites" shining.
Actually, I'll bet that Ford in their infinite wisdom??? Just needed to fill up the rest of the hole...soooo....I'll bet they just decided to give us extra switches because that looks better than half a hole because the brake controller didn't use all the available space.
For things that would be auxiliary.

Man I am leaving the door opne wide enough to drive a semi or all 212 thousand mmebers through...
I was thinking they were not banks they were controlling something....the somethihng was where I was at...
This really sucks!!!! I love my '03 but they are really tempting me with the new dash and the automatic rear window on the '05... I got my fiancé a sporttrac and the rear window is awesome. (Ford Family we are) I need to find and aftermarket window.
All I can say is that the SD keep getting better and I just hope they don't ruin the body like they did with the F150's.

I bet I just opened up a can of worms...
I for one am with you. New F-150 body style = skanky!
Cheby did it to theirs, GMC being more conservative held off for a year, but maybe will have skank added to them this year.
I just hope that by the time I get ready for a new SD in five or ten years that the body style has come back around to normal.
I'm going to wait for 2007 before I make the bext SD buy. Ford is supposed to do a complete re-design of the superduty trucks for 2007. A few more years wait won't hurt

I think you have finally captured the essence of what they are doing to the truck body styles. Skanky is very descriptive and the word I was struggling for.
