Have spent lots of time just looking around, also, read the email from peoples PDA's helps out a lot with door and locker codes. Watch out for the Dogs (size of a horse).
Graphically, it looks like an amazing game. A buddy of mine has it, and I got bored watching him just walk around and shoot stuff, very quickly. I will take a realistic FPS like Counter-Strike any day of the week.
Agree with you, WheelMA1 about the FPS - I really like Day of Defeat. Still, I've had lots of fun with Doom, Doom2, & Quake. When ID comes out with a new game, they usually set the pace for all the other companies.
I have heard complaints from gamers mainly counter strike fans that it sucks mainly cause it encourages camping rather than running into the middle of a open space fireing 1000's of rounds at another person
Ahh the good 'ole days of Doom, sweet game however I usually spend most my time playing those 3rd Person Shooter/Strategy games for the PS2, Resident Evil series, Silent Hill series, Metal Gear, Dino Crisis, etc.
yeah i was in high school when the survial horror series came in to market .i dont know how many hours i have spent playin resident evil any and all versions plus dont forget parisite eve also
My son has been playing the new Doom for several weeks, an unoptimized version for beta testers. He says it severly taxes many computers. His seems to run smooth at 60fps, drops to 50-55 if things get busy with lots of explosions around. He does not play it much. He plays CS most of the time (his team went undefeated in CAL-I last season) or city of heroes.
I got addicted to the Desert combat mod for bf1942 now, i'm stuck on bf:vietnam. CS got boring because it got repetitive and seems like everyone playin acts like 10 year olds. If doom had multiplayer i would try it out. Does it?
