More info required of you...like year model for starters, I-beam trucks are much easier/cheaper. There's a million tech articles on this, do a little homework.
Yea, sorry about that. My first post and I was ready to get it out. It's a 65 but has apparently been modified to hold a 289 vs a straight 6. Not sure what type of modification that requires.
Anyone advise as to whether or not disk brakes are worth the money spent?
I had a '78 F100 with front disc brakes, and currently have a '72 F250 with BIG drum brakes. They both had power brakes. Loaded or unloaded the F100 would stop right on a dime compared to the F250 with it's BIG drums.
Loaded, it takes 40 acres to stop the F250. Because I had the opportunity to make this comparison, the choice would be a no-brainer for me.
Suggest bookmark and keep for future references. May want to run search on topic, wherehouse of info. Also check out the 'tech article' section believe something in there on disc brakes, plus lot of other good stuff.
