purchasing 2002 sport trac

I have been thinking about ordering a 2002 sport trac and am doing my homework to see what previous owners of the 2001 like or dislike about their sport trac. If anyone has input on this I would appreciate it. Also, I heard the explorer is going to have a V8, anyone know about the sport trac having a V8 in 2002?

The Sport Trac will not get a V8 any time soon. The 4.0L SOHC is the only available engine. Unless you plan on hot rodding the truck, the 4.0L is adequate for performance. It will tow up to 10,000 lbs combined weight (trailer + loaded vehicle). It is essentially a Ranger platform.
