No, they were a direct bolt in. Using the rear leafs up front just relocated the axle forward like an inch or so!

Don't the leafsprung trucks use a shackle to the front of the spring? If so, do a shackle reversal and it'll smooth out a helluva lot.

Yes, I reversed the shackle on mine and it helped a great deal.

Suspensions with 3,4 and 5 links take quite a bit of time to tune properly. Stick with the leafs. If they are still stock, then they are probably sagged badly and are in need of an upgrade.

Just grab 2 sets of rear leaves off of an old LTD and put 'em on there.
