Are 2 cats necessary?
I've got a 1995 F-150 w/ the 4.9L and a 5 speed tranny. I pulled off the stock exhaust from the cat back and stuck on a flowtech purple horney glasspack with a turndown. I was thinking about replacing the 2 cats with one high performance one. Would this sound better/give me any more horses, and would it still be legal? I'm 16 so i like the loud obnoxious thing but any help would be much appreciated.

We just had a thread similar to this one a few days back and someone posted that they do make an high performance cat that will do the job of both and add a few hp. Don't know if it'll be any louder though.
