C-4 doesn't shift.....
Okay here's the problem, I put in drive and it shifts into 1st but it will not shift into second. I can manually shift it into second, but if I shift it back to drive it stays in second. So basically I don't have a 1-2 shift or a 2-3 shift. I am not a tranny guy. I know that my downshift linkage has never been hooked up, hasn't seemed to matter. Now I had this tranny rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago and I am not rough on it at all. Is there anything to do? Pics would be very helpful, any advice would do....thanks in advance.

sounds like the modulator valve is out. replace that and see what happens. be sure and get the adjustable valve, it comes with a new actuator rod and instructions on how to adjust it.
