I'm searching for a temporary 4-6" lift for my '95 2WD Ranger. I could write a book (well, maybe a leaflet) on what I'm thinking about with this completely assinine project, but I will spare everyone the details. Anyway, on ot my question: How different are the TTB brackets compared to the TIB brackets? Meaning, can I butcher up a 4X4 lift for my 2WD? I haven't really crawled around under mine yet, just wondered if you guys had any thoughts on it.
in my opinion..and this is what i'm thinking of doing to my 96 2wd Ranger..
Fabtech sells a spindle lift kit with rear add a leaf springs and 4 shocks which ..the one i've looked at..gives the vehicle 3 inches of lift.
..or you can just buy a suspension lift for the 2wd.
I was under the impression that the "spindle" lift kits (which are quite snazzy, IMO) was only for double A-arm front IFS, i.e. 98-present. And although that's an excellent route for the newer trucks, they are quite pricey. I saw an ad for RCD suspension kits with coil overs........WOW $2300???!?! For that much coin, I'd be looking for SAS options!!
i know what ya mean about pricing..that's why i'm dragging my feet. I'll probably have a new F250 4x4 diesel or Dodge 4x4 diesel before any of that happens...wont need a lft then.
