87 into 86 B2 engine swap
Hello;
early 86 b2 manual with tired 2.9l engine, fuel injected without Mass air flow sensor. Found an 87 2.9l with mass air flow sensor for $500. Besides then engine, what other changes must be made? Wiring harness, Brain?

The blocks are the same, but the MAF powered motor will have a different computer, and a different wiring harness. When doing the swap, you'll need to take the computer, wiring harness and all the EEC-IV sensors/switches with you. This may create a few other issues if the new motor is going from an automatic transmission to the manual transmission.
