read a good thread about t,b, cleaner and now can't find it..poster was adamant about using the whole can of cleaner..but do you spray it in while the engine is running??I would think that would be the trick..the can says to spray some while the engine is off and then rev it up..seems like the only way to shoot the whole can in there is when its running..I put some in the other day and it seemed to help the surging and hesitation a little..any input is appreciated 1986 B2 2.9
NOT sure on the actual cleaning, but try experimenting with some fuel additives there are some really good ones out there that could also help your problems. Ive had luck with gumout.
Best use some cleaner thats sensor safe. The best way to clean the TB is to take it off.If you do take it off be real careful and try not to brake the gasketts,so you can reuse them.
I have used Berkebile 2+2 to clean mine out. You shouldn't have to use a whole can but you want the engine running so that the spray can be sucked through without "flooding" the engine. I had done that without the engine running and had a hard time getting it started.
