Burping a cooling system.
I changed the coolant in my wife's 96 Explorer, and now I have a check engine light on. Before I spend money to find out what it means, I'm going to bet that I have bubble of air in the cooling system that has left a sensor high and dry somewhere. I've heard these cooling systems require a special burping procedure when the coolant is changed. Is that right? If so, does anyone know what it is?
And, while I'm at it, does anyone have a recommendation for a code reader?

Burping a cooling system.
First check to make sure you didnt disconnect a wire connecter to a sensor during the coolant change & overlooked reconnecting it . Youll need an OBD II scan tool , I know Auto Tap has a banner Ad here at FTE , Check them out .
