I was just wondering who makes a good quality made rebuild kit for the 460. I was flipping through the Summit catologue and see that there is a manufacturer called "speed pro" that makes these kits. I was wondering where the get there parts made. I would like to get something that was made in the USA instead of some Asian country because I've used China quality tools and don't want that in my engine.
speed pro is part of federal mogul, and the speedpro pistons, are the old TRW line, they are probably as close to american made as you will find, as I think most of thier parts are made in north america atleast, and they do have plants in the US, so may even be all US made

What year is this rebuild for cause when i get my new truck i would like to rebuild my EFI 460 out of a 1990 F 250 but if i do rebuild it, im gonna make it haul, so basicly can you build up a 460 with EFI or would that be a waste of time and money.
If its what you want, then its never a waste of time and money. As for the EFI 460, you will have to take into consideration computer mods and such for the EFI system. Other than that, all the basic performance principles still apply (better breathing heads, better cam, etc)
I haven't got the engine yet but I'm going hunting for one in a junkyard which is why I was just finding out what kit to get now that I know I'll just have to get my tranny off the engine stand and find myself a big block
Dont think anyone said anything was wrong with EFI big blocks, personally was soon as I finish saving up the money, I am converting the 429 over to multi port fuel injection
