I dont know much about the differences between the 351c and the 351m but I know that they are quite similar. What i was wondering is if the 351c and the 351m use the same pistons or not (im having a hard time finding pistons for a 351m). thanks
ok trw sells a p-p-Powerford`ged 351m piston flat top compression height of 1.95
which means decient compression with out pinging (with-in reason) comp gap of .017
now can't recall other's pistons that are suppose to fit this engine and are labeled as such are 1.915 whhich leaves a compression distance of ~.057 which putst the engine near the 400 in likeliness to ping
keith black, speed pro, clevite, trw, most oem/very mild compont companies sell some thing for the 351m who makes them is another thing they won't tell ya
got the HiTech(sold thru autozeil) people to admit that their bearings are infact relabeled clevites but they cost 10 more, but does clevite actully make them? who knows
how many mellings oil pumps are sold to other "makers" for labels?
anywho bite the bullet and snag the trw powerford`ger they cost more but they are the ONLY performance 351m piston
hey i am gonna have one of each
whats better than i ol ford truck ..2 or 3 old ford trucks
finishing up one soon gonna start pulling the other 351m apart for a build
