Looking for a wire????

Does anyone know where i can find a switched + that is connected to the dome light? I have a 2002 PSD supercab and i added some lighted running boards and want the lights to come on when i use the key fob or open the doors,, thanks

Gonna have to come off the dome relay somewhere.

Actually, you can tap into it under the right/passenger side kick panel. Look in my gallery, it's the one being held with the screwdriver blade. Very easy to access.

On my 2003.5, there are two wires going to the dome light. These wires run from the general area of the fuse box, under the door sill plate, up the cab corner (regular cab.) and along the top of the back window to the light. If you pull the door sill plate, you'll see a bundle with 3 wires; two wires for the dome along with one for the the high-mount stop lamp. The dome light is a black wire with a purple tracer. You can run a power wire from for example fuse 101 (red wire which is the trailer electric brake feed, always on and 30A, plenty for your lights.) to a relay and use the black/purple wire as a signal wire on the relay. The other wire is black with a light blue tracer and that one is on at all times and powers the map lights, but you don't want to use that one.
