Engine oil dipstick

1987 bronco II 2.9 engine. How does the engine oil dipstick tube go into the block or pan? Is it threaded or an o ring? Mine is broken, where can I buy one, no luck at the salvage yards.

miine just slides into a hole on the drives side and then bolts to a exhaust header bolt

I'm having trouble finding a dipstick tube for my 86 2.9, Can't find anywhere that stocks one.

Dipstick

A little FYI A dipstick from 87 may not work on 86 If motor was produced before Jun 86 - got this info from dealer. Double check, I believe Jun was the date.
