I'm thinking more of a replacement vehicle... and I got full MSRP for the 02 7.3L I replaced...

With that many issues, I question why you would keep it ?!?

I misunderstood. I think you're on to something there. To be honest with you, this particular dealer is not real customer friendly. I contacted Ford Customer Service prior to 100k (14injectors) and they said nothing they could do for me. I've filed with the dispute board. We'll see.

Price is 495.70 less the core return of 180.00 making it a net cost of 315.70 each. Had 2 more replaced last Tuesday, labor was 720.00.

Did you run the VIN on this and see what all had been reordered

I find this statement and the following one rather interesting. A dealer won't stay in business with that type of attitude. My experience with Ford was they were polite, promised to look into the issue and called the dealer. If you come on strong, it has been my experience you get the above attitude.

The Ford factory people have been nice and polite about this whole thing, the customer service reps I've spoken with have expressed empathy. The dealer (General Manager) won't return my calls. I've left messages and faxes. I'm not one to come on strong, may be part of the problem.

.....it has been proven many times here in FTE a person that stays the course without loosing their temper wins more often than not...you can be strong in your resolve and not angry....it will work.

Strong comes in many forms

Truck was down again yesterday. This time had it at a new dealer in San Bernadino, CA. Mechanic said some sort of sensor that's tied into the air filter had failed. Said this causes false computer indications of injector failure. Say's Ford had been raising cane with dealers because they keep replacing injectors when not required. Anybody know of this? Problem also caused excessive black smoke on acceleration.
