'97 Explorer/CD-Changer Compatibility

I just bought a '97 Explorer over the weekend and I've received conflicting information regarding what cd-changer I can install.

Are there any Alpine/Kenwood/etc. cd-changers that are compatible? I'd <u>prefer</U> not having to buy the stock changer.

Also, if there is an outside changer that I can buy, any on-line dealer site referrals are welcomed.

'97 Explorer/CD-Changer Compatibility

You can easily get a CD changer in you r car if you get one with an RF adapter, meanining it goes through your radio. I would reccommend Kenwoods, Pioneers, or Panasonic.

'97 Explorer/CD-Changer Compatibility

I was told by the owner of Alarming Sounds in Rancho Cordova CA that the Audiovox,Alpine,Clairion would work with the unit in the Explorer's. Also not by the RF type.
