Tailgate cables
I have a 99f250. The other day i drove off road with my tailgate down and the cables came off the side of the bed. They do not have have the little springgy thing to hold them on. Is this the same on all 99's?
I not have two little dimples on the tailgate where the gate hit the bumper!

Wup! Time for a new tailgate!!! Can't have them dimples showin' 
I suppose you bought it used?
The spring retainers are supposed to be there, but are so cheap-made they break off.
