92 Explorer - Code 33 EGR Valve?

92 Explorer - Code 33 EGR Valve?
I've run the codes several times and I keep getting code 33 which suggests an EGR problem (according to the Haynes Manual I have). I can't find the EGR valve & I see that others have had the same problem.If the 92 doesn't have an EGR valve then what could code 33 refer to?

I think your confusing codes 1,1,1 with 33. The codes are repeated twice, thus 1,1,1...1,1,1, and not 3,3.
This is confusing, I made the same mistake. Try the engine running (KOER) test, and you'll see the spacing in flashing.

92 Explorer - Code 33 EGR Valve?
I did both KOEO & KOER tests several times. I get 3 distinctive pulses twice for the KOEO test and with the ER tests I went through the whole procedure; I.D. code (3 pulses for V6), single pulse for request of Dynamic Response check, then again I get the same 3 pulses followed by a 2 second delay then another 3 pulses. Today I will try disconnecting the battery and trying it again.

Three pulses, delay, three pulses is 1,1,1 delay 1,1,1.
If the code you were getting was 33 you would get:
three pulses,delay,three pulses, longer delay, three pulses,delay,three pulses.
In other words: a total of 6 pulses would be 111 twice and 12 pulses would be 33 twice.
Confusing enough? Hope this helps
