Weather strip hood rubber

In the 'goody box' that came with my '64 is a piece of rubber weather strip that looks like it would fit perfectly on the cowl (right word?) at the back of the hood where it meets the body. . While I'm replacing my hood hinges I'd like to install this piece. It looks like it needs to be folded to form a gutter. I am baffled as to how to fasten this piece as there are no visible screw holes and I can't imagine any kind of adhesive being strong enough. As usual your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys. Oh, my hinges came unpainted and they look like a gold galvanizatiion was applied to the steel. Should I paint? I'm leaning toward not painting. Thanks again.

That rubber strip is attached with nails! Weatherstrip cement will work, though.
