So, what's next? Anyone want to start another get together? I'm up for a gathering at my house in Copperas Cove, right next to Fort Hood. We can even work on some of those old Fords while we wait for the BBQ to cook.
Anybody?....
There must be some folks in the Fort Hood area that want to come out to play. Chrisvte and John_hill will for sure attend.
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is mike, and im from the DFW area. I just traded my ford ranger in this weekend, and got a 2002 ford explorer (what an upgrade). I just found this website today, and i really like it alot. Good to see fellow ford owners talking about their vehicles. I hope i can contribute to this forum! Thanks for allowing me to invade!
I get paid twice a month, so either around the middle of the month or the end. Or whatever works for you folks. John and chrisvte will be definately show.
It doesn't need to be as well planned as Rosati's was, I work well with short notice. BUT, I can't make brisket anywhere near as well as Kenny.
Hi there fellow Texan's. Do any of you live near Fort Hood and drive a 99' F-250? I an doing some work to mine and want to hear what you hae done and where you got it done.
So far all I have really done is get a Super Chip chip tuner. I want to do the exhuast and have checked at Lonestar in Harker Heights. They have a replacement for my PSD and is a SS 4inch system(turbo back) and it sounded great. The owner of the shop has it on his truck.

Welcome aboard, mwo2616
And jump in when you can - we can all contribute in some way.
hey brokebronco I think we all have to take paychecks into consideration we drive broncos or other gas guzzlers. Hey I've got the 5.8 in my 96 bronco and refuses to run right without premium
I'm more than up for a trip to Ft Hood if it's on the weekend since i have school. Might show up with my motorcycle in the bed tho. Gotta pop wheelies while cooking. Ill even bring some venison chilli if y'all think y'all ford tough enough to eat it.
That would be perfect. I could pair that with a trip by Harolds on the way. Still looking for better front springs and the rest of the AC components I need. Next weekend is OK as the wifey is out of town for a couple of days. If not that soon, just let me know when!
well, i checked on mapquest and it said just under 7 hrs but i've heard that mapquest isn't always reliable. ft worth is 6 hrs from here and i thought killeen was the other side or south or something.. geography's not my strong subject.. never had it in school at all.. either way, my truck only gets 10 mpg so i'd be stopping much more frequently to gas up than most which wld add to my time but not that much obviously. I'll have to get directions from someone who's traveled it before. but either way, i won't be able to afford that many miles any time soon. i have direct deposit into my savings and i had to yank all the extra i'd been putting in for regular parts/maintenance this past week so im down to just about nil for travel. my trucks not much yet but i think it'd be great to actually meet someone else from fte! so yeah, i can pencil november if you get up this way, i'll still be living here!.. im only like 10 mins from tech anyways...
Hey Connie, How about you hosting a western meet rather than wait for one to be scheduled, just go ahead and decide what week would be good for you and host it at your place?
