just A question

i got a 4.0 engine with a 40 series flowmaster muffler and i just bought a k&n intake and was wondering if it will make my truck louder??

Didn't in my case. I have a Flo 40 (single-in/dual-out) and a K&N intake. Truck sounds the same with or without the K&N. You will notice more intake noise, but it shouldn't affect the tone of the exhaust.

It might make the exhaust a little louder, but nothing crazy. You should notice a bit more of a growl at WOT (wide open throttle) coming from up front.

thanks but i was wondering if there is a way to make it louder?? im new at this so the advice is very helpful.

I have a K&N FIPK and cat back duals with no mufflers and my truck is pretty loud. O it doesn't sound like a weed eater either has a nice deep sound at idle and a good small ford V8 at WOT

thanks for the input..now i have another question...what kinda horsepower will i gain from all this...i know there is probally another post with this kinda info but i havent had enough time yet to check out the whole forum..
