High Temperature Wire?

High Temperature Wire?
I'm just starting to get into some mods on my 2002 PSD, and found this on the Body Builder layout book (https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...bodybuild.html)
"Ford recommends that all additional underhood and
underbody wiring:
• be cross-linked polyethylene, or equivalent, high
temperature insulation wire 125° C {257° F]
minimum rating.
• meet SAE specifications J1128 type SXL, GXL or
TXL."
Where has anyone found this wire type
? I'm having a bear of a time locating some. (N/A @ Pep boys, Autozone, Napa-online, electrical supply houses...)

Umm - never heard of that one. They probably suggest that wire 'casue only Ford makes it and they want you to buy more stuff from them!!
Seriously though - just use some good wire and you should be fine - just don't zip-tie it to your turbo or exhaust!
