6.9 vs 7.3
Whats the difference between the 6.9 and 7.3 other than displacement? Which is easier to get more power out of? Do they both not use computers? Which is cheaper and easier to work on? Much help is appretiated.

Basic changes are in the heads and the mounting of . The 6.9 and the 7.3 are manual controlled engines ( a solid link between the injection pump and the cab, by a cable that pulls the throttle open ) up to 1994 when the power stroke came to be.
the 7,3 has a bit more horsepower (stock) than the 6.9 . As far as cheap goes and you want more power, its up to you and your wallet and decision to make it right. There are other links that show you some ways to get more power by free flow air intakes and larger exhaust. Other is to add headers and up to adding turbo systems. Bring your wallet and come on for a ride.
