Casting Number Location

Need help!! Trying to find the casting numbers on my 360. I've looked all over around, behind, under and beside starter, and on the front of the passenger side block but to no avail. Only numbers I can find is the usual 352 by the power steering pump and some small numbers on the bottom of the oil filter housing. Posted this in the truck section also, any input would be greatly appreciated!

The heads have them on the lower exhaust side in the middle! The intake will have one on it! The block has a date code underneath by the oil adapter.

Some blocks don't have the casting #'s period. I've got 2 68 390 blocks that are this way, only #'s there are the date codes

Yeah my 390 doesn't have a block code either but it has the date code. The heads and intake should have something though. Even some things like the fan, brackets and such have castings numbers.

About the only way to tell if it's a 360, 390, 352 is by the bore.

You can look for the 4 bore for the 352 but the stroke test is needed for the 360/390 since they have the same bore.

Yeah, know all that, I was just kinda hoping I had a rouge Holman/Moody factory smallblock, stroker motor that somehow escaped the testing grounds. I'll keep dreaming!!
