Check Engine Light Question
I replaced the PCV lines (heated, Part # F85Z-6C324-AA) on my 98 Expedition to correct the P0171 and P0174 error codes (lean bank 1 and 2). I disconnected the battery negative lead for 15 minutes to clear the error codes. My question is: How long will it take for the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT to come back on if the new PCV lines did not correct the problem. If the engine is still running lean after clearing the codes would the check engine light come immediately back on with the error codes P0171 and P0174, or does it take a couple hundred miles of driving for the computer to figure it out. So far I've driven about 20 miles and the check engine light hasn't come back on yet. Thanks for any help.
