It's alive!!!

My buddy and I just finished installing an Edelbrock 600cfm Carb, Performer 400 Intake and Performer-Plus Cam #2172 on his '79 Bronco w/ 351M and man did it wake the engine up. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to gain a noticible difference over stock. The cam improved low end power and gave a little more high end. Bravo Edelbrock.

would that fit in my 771/2 f250 4x4?

If it has a 351M or 400, yes.

its a 351m, what's involved in the cam change ive never taken the intake manifold off of a vehicle, but i do automation work for a living so i feel qualified to take apart pretty much any machine and get it back together. im just wondering how much engine dismantling there is to do.
any help is appreciated.

The carb and intake is easy, just make sure you use a torque wrench when you tighten the bolts for the intake down or else you'll get a leak. The cam however is not something I would recommend if you've never even changed an intake/carb out before, you have to remove the radiator, valve covers, rocker arms, pushrods, timing cover, line up the cam gear put timing chain back on. I put the carb./intake on and he did the cam so I'm not sure how hard it was for him to get the cam out, w/ 302s you have plenty of space if you take the radiator out put the 351M looks longer to me, might be a tight fit.

thank you fordflaresides, nope! i won't be doing my own cam install. i wonder how expensive it is to have a shop do it?
