Update:

I had sent a letter to the dealer asking them how this could take so long working on my truck and I finally got a response today. The service manager said that the service adviser told me wrong. He said that the top balljoint nut was not the problem, it was the camber bushing itself. He said that the camber bushing was froze tight and they could not get it out. That is why he said that the front end was taken apart so they could hit it with a hammer and put a torch on it. Is it possible for a camber bushing to freeze/rust in place so you can not get it out?

Ok that sounds more logical! Yes they can be frozen and a real pain to remove.

ok, thanks bossind. Kinda sucks because I was hoping for some money back. I guess the high bill was partly my fault, I should of gone to someone with less of a labor charge.

Yeah going to someone with less of a labor charge would have been good but to save yourself some future hassle as well as anyone else reading this try putting a little grease on the camber hub and/or replece the ones you have with the ones that I mentioned before that you can get from napa that have multple adjusting points for differnt alignment settings. I have them and put a little graes on them to keep them from freezing up like the old ones had no problems no mater how much I need the alignment done or doing any of the other work in that are of my bronco. couldn't hurt to look and see.
