Exhaust question.
Wife's 96 XLT explorer has a bad clamp from the out side of the converter to the muffler lead pipe. Can i just buy this clamp myself and install it.?. The clamp is a heavy duty (very rusty) with a spring on each bolt. How does the new clamp go onto the lead pipe it has a lip on it and the new clamp must be split i would guess. Well any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Archer, that clamp is part of the cat and muffler connection. It's welded to each. Depending on where yours is broken, you might be able to adapt an aftermarket clamp that will work. Summit has a lot of exhaust clamps and such, maybe you can find something there.....
