here's are list we use
tires (balance), but you said wearing (ball joints) if the outside tread area looks choppy
wheel bearings
shocksrotors (I have seen a badly warped rotor cause a vibration in the steering wheel) even when brake pedal is not being applied.

thanks fellas. ive ordered rotors. ill rotate the tires ill install shocks/ rotors. should i do it together or one at a time to check for the culprit?
i had the trans serviced 5k or so and they checked the ball joints and said they were tight. the front end has never been aligned though. front tires are each feathered. the outside and inside are higher then the middle tread blocks. thanks!
