Smile michelin at sears

i had 4 new michelin 265/70/17 xc lt4 tires and an alignment done on my 1997 150. the tires are very similar to the michelin ms tires but many less bucks. they are only available at sears and are on closeout so prices are good. what a difference in the truck with these tires.

It's quite amazing how much new tires can change the way a truck feels. I wish that the factories would install better tires rather than just going with the lowest bidder. Oh well.

I agree Racerguy. When I bought my truck new in 2000 it came with Wilderness HT. Since it isnt a 4X4 it didnt come with the ATs. I wish it did so I could of got free replacements. My tires were splitting on the sidewalls. It looked like vandalisim but my truck is kept in my garage which is locked. Ford didnt know why my tires were spitting. Anyways, they gave me a great deal on the BF Duellers and Im happy with them. No more opening the garage door and finding my truck leaning on its side. Its been at least 2 years now without a flat (touch wood)

Michelin also has a $50 rebate if you buy a set of 4 before 8/7/04! The XC LT4 tires I have seen got slightly less mileage than the LTX M/S. Sam's club and other large retailers also carry them.
lariatrider rides on.....

i got a closeout price on the lt4 tires at sears and the rebate to boot. final price was the same as 4 bridgestones. the lt4 has a 60,000 mile warranty.

johnh002002,
I have also been looking at replacing my tires on my 02 Expy. I want a smooth ride and the GY RTS seem to ride very rough. I contemplating between the XC LT4's and the LTX M/S. How do yours feel in terms of a smooth ride. Any expoerience with the other model. Thanks in advance.
