Exclamation Jon and Mitch need help!!!

That's right, Jon and Mitch need help. Not mental help either . We need volenteers for Fordtoberfest. Now we arn't asking anyone to spend thier entire day sweating in the sun digging ditches . We need volenteers to help with getting flyers up, all it takes is to take a few flyers and put them up in places you go anyways be it work, local parts store, or even a car wash. We need help with parking and at the gate during the show, don't worry it isn't all day just until registration is done (about noon). If you know a company that would be interested in sponsoring the show, put the bug in thier ear about it!! Let me know if any of you can help. Lets show the rest of FTE how we do things here in Kansas BIG

For the benefit of the chapter members I am announcing that Duane has joined forces with Jon and I to produce this event. We welcome the help duane!

Now...since Jon, Duane and I are doing the majority of the work to put this thing on, a little help during the show is all we ask for, no you dont have to tie up your whole day to help, if we can get enough people to help you might only have to help out for an hour or maybe even a half hour, it all depends on how many sign up to help.

the major sponsors have come thru big time this year, and we will have LOTS of giveaway items, the only place we are lacking are the goodie bags, we have a few things for the bags, but more is always better.

The main help we need right now is to get he word out to the local car clubs and local shows, I would like to see a bunch of classic trucks at our event alongside with all the newer models. If you know of any shows in your area, please print off a few flyers from fordtoberfest.com and hand some out, talk with the show promoter and see if they can announce it over theri p/a system, it only takes a couple minutes!

and any mental help you can send our way would be good too! lol

Club FTE Silver Member

I am printing of fliers and passing them out whenever and wherever I can around here as well as passing the word around . Will do whatever I can at the event and I know a couple other members that just volunteered ( i will tell them about it when they get home ) Am also getting the message to all the chapters and trying to keep bringing it to the top of the posts.

Kansas this is our time to really shine and show the kind of chapter we are . We need to get the word out and entice more participation. "Fordtoberfest" is our biggest event and there are people and members coming from all over the place including the owner and founder of FTE . Jon and Mitch have spent a lot of their own time putting this together and Duane has become a big driving force for this event, so it should not be hard for a few of us to step up and give a little of our time to ensure everything goes smooth. You can imagine what it will take to manage all the trucks that will be showing up and we want it to come off the same like the way we do everything else here in Kansas

Thanks to everyone that has or are helping and thanks to those I know will step up and help. This is your event and your chapter so I have full confidence that this will be the biggest, best, smoothest and most talked about event in Kansas & FTE.

Well I can't add much to what Duane,Mitch and Rollie have already said but we do need help.

So far:

Duane has gotten a ton of sponsors to give raffle and giveaway items.
Rollie has gotten FTE on board and gotten stylin concepts to throw stuff our way.

Mitch has been working on a custom design logo for the flyers and for the website.
That will be used every year just changing the dates. So that logo will become a symbol of our event and people will start getting the word out. It's like Mcdonalds you don't need to see the words to know your at mcdonalds. He is also working on designing the trophies.

Mark and Shane have both offered to let us use a plasma cutter. It's just a matter of getting all of us together at one time. They have both offered to help at the show as needed.

What we don't want at the show is for things to look clustered. The more people helping people get parked and registered the better the event will go.

Things are coming together but we're getting nervous about show day.

But those that were at the show last year know....I"M A NUT CASE THE DAY OF THE SHOW...LOL.

Thanks,
Jon

Come to think of it, one of our sponsors (Fat Boyz Off-road) has even offered thier help for the show!!! Man I like them guys, I was in talking to them the other day, they had a brand new jeep rubicon just rolling out of the shop. The Jeep had a prob with the front axle that the local Jeep dealer couldn't figure out so the dealer brought it to them and they had it back on the road the same day!!! Now that's impresive !!!!

Duane,
Cool, we may need the help!

I think the biggest help will be needed with parking, this year we are going with participant voting, which means all trucks in the same class will have to parked together, otherwise people will be running all over the place comparing trucks so they can decide which way to vote.

one guy on the gate, to pass out registration papers for those that are not pre-registered, several people to help with the parking deal, and that should do it.

Steve, thanks for the help with the shirts!
and Rollie, thanks for bringing in your two workers! I will be bringing one of mine too!
but i gotta peel him off his girlfriend first..lol

as a side note...I just got back from vacation, we ended up taking my sons girlfriend along with us, man was that stressful! he was like a dog in heat! but if i would have left her at home the older son would have been hell to live with, so in reality this was the way to go.
