I have a '94 XLT w/ automatic transmission. I'm goin junk yard huntin for a transfer case shift motor for my truck, does anyone know what years of trucks use the same motor? I plan to buy within the next month or so, but I don't want to limit my search to just 94's if other years are using exactly the same motor. Thanks for your help.
Depending on what case you have, if it's a 3156 you should be able to use the motor off of a 1988-1994 Ranger,BroncoII, or Explorer.Hope I was of some help. HD1
>How do I figure out what model number my transfer case is?
On the backside of your case towards the bottom, there should be a little tag , on the tag in the lower right side has a couple of letters and then a number- the number 3156 , 4405 4406, etc. denotes the trans.case type. If this dont help check out your local Ford garage.Any good tech.can get you pointed in the right direction.Good luck!!HD1
