my brother in law bought 4rims with tires mounted on them already...the rims seem to be the 87-91 5lug 5150 wagon wheel type gray rims...
these rims will slide on his 88 4x4 ranger without a problem and wont fit any of 3 5 lug 2whl drive f150's they have been tried on (3 different years) but yet he insists that they are factory f150 rims...oh yeah yeah im sure they came off an f150 he sais
now he insists that the f150s between 80-96 had 2 different bolt patterns withg different spacing...1 smaller pattern than the other
and i told him he was full of youknowwhat...i told him the day that he shows me physical evidence to support the fact that there is an f150 out there with original hubs with the lug pattern the same as a ranger hub is when i will admit he was right and i was wrong but until then he is full o crapola
The F-150 has a 5 X 5.5 lug pattern that was used on all 15in wheels. It changed when Ford went to the 16in wheels. It is now the 5 x 135mm pattern. I have a set of Ford factory 5 slot mags and they are the 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern. I am not sure what the bolt pattern was on the 16.5 but they only came on the f 250's

well... as an update,it turns out that these arent ford rims at all....upon closer inspection they are a set of repainted american racing rims as shown here
In 80-85 you could get a light duty 2wd F100 that had the smaller car/ranger hub pattern. The rest of the pickup appeared the same as any other F-series but the hub pattern was smaller. My Dad had one, a '83 F100 that he put factory Ranger wheels on.
