Oil underneith hood?

Ok so I pop the hood of my 04/04 F350 PSD last night and I see oil on the bottom of my hood.....not a lot but definitely enough to notice. Its been spraying off/out of something. Also noticed a few very small puddles on top of the motor. Any idea where this could be coming from. This is the first time I have opened the hood since I changed my oil a few weeks ago. I don't see any leakage or anything around the filter. When I was filling up I did spill a small amount by the fill cap, but the oil seems to be spraying from somewhere near the front of the motor. I don't think its related to the oil change but who knows. Any suggestions?? Plan to take the truck to the dealer for the first time for a few small warrantee issues tomorrow and want to have this checked out too.

check the CAC Tube at the elbow at the top of the Manifold,, they pull back and can blow oil out,, most likely this is where it is coming from,, if so the best thing is to remove the tube and clean with Break Klean, let dry and reassemble. See pic in my gallery of this tube,, other then that the only other place could be from around the oil filter cap. hope this helps....

I also noticed oil on hood after first oil change - I attributed it to loss during filter change.

After washing it off I haven't noticed re-occurance.

Matt seems like you have nailed this one....I checked your gallery and the CAC tube is exactly where the oil appears to be coming from...what exactly is the CAC tube?? Thanks a bunch.

this tube comes out of the intercooler to the top of the manifold,, Mine was leaking at the bottom connection at the intercooler. I removed the entire tube, cleaned it and the Manifold Elbow with brake cleaner to get all the oil off of it and then reassembled it, tightened the clamps well and has not leaked since,, there is a TSB from ford on this and some new clamps available I got the new clamps yesterday but appear the same so I'm not going to change them unless mine leaks again but its been over a month since I fixed it and have had no more problems,,
