I once went with Checker's no name brand of plug wires with a 2 year warranty. After 18 mos., they died. They were replaced under warranty with another set, but they died in about a year . Now I use Autolites or some other similar brand that they will sell with a lifetime warranty. I haven't any problems with them yet, and one set is going on three years.
I would also have to say the Motorsport wires. The only change I might make is going from the 6mm up to 8mm. I don't know if they make a cut set for the 4.0, but I know they have the universal sets. If you are having problems burning them up, I would go to the next size. Try this link to find out which ones you might be interested in:

Once you go there, click the parts search, and then ignition. It is the list of sets they have.
