Hey Guys,
I just bought the RS9000X shocks for my 2000 F150 2wd V6 XLT. I did not buy the In-Cab adjuster kit, compressor, and gauges. I was wondering if anyone here installed these shocks themselves and if so can you tell me if there were any problems you encountered when installing them. Are they easy to install? How much torque should I place on the bolts? I've read 12 lbs of torque and I've heard to just tighten them untill I see pressure on the bushings.
I drive my truck mostly for commuting around the city of Orlando and occasionally haul a load from Home Depot. I also pull a motorcycle trailer on occasion. I occasionally take my truck to Daytona beach and park it on the sand. I was wondering what would be the best adjustment settings for these different types of road conditions? I'm assuming that number 1 would be the softest ride where 9 would be the hardest ride. Am I correct on this? Im new to this and your response would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone here own a Haynes Manual for the 2000 Model F-150 XLT's? If so can someone help me out as to how much torque to apply to the bolts on my new shocks.
2wd lower nut 22-29 ft-lbs and upper nut 35-46 ft-lbs on the front. The rear is 22-29 ft-lbs on the upper and 44-60 ft-lbs on the lower. I hope this helps.

Thanks Dude! I appreciate your response. Project "shocks" starts tomorrow.
[B]Big time difference! Best shocks I've ever owned. I've got these bad boys set on 5 all the way around and I love the way she rides. It's like I've falling in love with her all over again! I'd recommend the RS9000's. I feel a really bad habit forming here!
