2000 Expedition, I am looking for the black piece that clips onto the step bumper. Anyone know what this piece is called, where I can find it, etc.
Has anyone had this piece, fall off, been rear-ended etc? Is it hard to replace? Thanks.
See image, gallery I did not know how to link it to here. It looks fine, but someone bumped into me today and it is not as tight as I would like it to be.
I would try a junk yard if the rest of the bumper is junk they will let you have this piece cheap. Look at auto parts store for different trim you may find something you could glue in its place that would work.
An upper step pad (the one that fits across the entire width of the bumper) is about $50 at the dealer. The lower step pad, (below the license plate) is about $20 at the dealer. For an extra $2, you can also get a new insert that fits in the trailer ball attachment hole. What the hey, spend the extra $2.
