I just got my new filters from wix.I am going to change my fuel filters today but need to know if there is anything special i should know.I have a 2004 6.0 PSD,do i have to prime the system after i change filters or not.If so how?I use to bump the starter on my dodge cummins and let the fuel pump fill up the cannister?
Nope... no priming req'd....
just park the nose downhill...
drain the bottom using a 6mm hex being VERY careful not to strip the brass plug...
might consider going get the steel replacement at your dealer - I heard $7 IIRC...
hardest thing is the ludicrous angle they have the bottom filter in - VERY difficult to get the 36 MM socket in there...
