2004 Explorer and 2" hitch

Fiance and I are considering a 2004 Explorer if the rebates are good enough. I noticed that the Explorer has those cheap little 1" receiver style hitches built into them. You can't tow anything with that junk. I have the 2" receiver hitch on my Ranger. If we get an Explorer we'd like the same. Can you get the Explorer with a real hitch? Will it bolt up under there if you have to buy one aftermarket?

Yeah, I've seen '04s with the 2" reciever built right into the bumper. But I think I like the under the bumper receiver sold by Hidden Hitch a little better. It is a little more hidden and doesn't stick out so my shins don't get gouged.

I believe it's just like my 2003. Get an Exporler with the towing package and it will have the 2" class III or IV (I don't remember which) reciever, 3.73 Limited Slip Rear differential, 7 prong electrical connector (with a flat 4 pole adapter), and additional transmission cooling. It's built in from the factory.
