E40D and C6

Hello. I've asked this question before but it finally occured to me that I posted it in the wrong forum. Sorry about that. I'm looking into a transmission swap. I'm interested in going from E40D to a C4 or a C6. I saw a post by a moderator saying that the E40D is the evolved version of the C6 so does that mean I wouldn't have to have my driveshaft shortened or lengthened in order to get a C6 to work in the truck? Also I saw a C4 in Jegs that can handle exactly 1,000 hp. It's like $1700. Would it be difficult adapting the truck so that a C4 can work in there? This may be a false assumption but I'm assuming the C4 has less drivetrain robbery than the C6 since it's a smaller transmission. That's the only reason I'm looking ino the C4. Any advice at all would be very apprciated.

The E4OD is longer than a C6, after all it has more gears in there.
