Okay, here's the thing. The wife and I are about to die to have AR Torgue Thrust II's on our truck. Problem is, no 5.5 lug pattern offered (as far as I can find). What I am wondering is, will the "small" pattern rotors off of the 80 model F100 fit on my beams? If not, any suggestions on how to change the pattern on my rig? Now is the time to do it, cause the whole front end is tore down on the beast. Thanks in advance.
if you dont use your truck to haul or tow much with (show truck/ daily driver tranportation) you may be able to use some adaptors, they say not to use them on trucks or vans but i dont see why it wouldnt work. about a inch thick. never used them myself but have seen them in jc whitney and summit catologs. good luck! Dave.
Thanks for the reply racsan. I really don't want to use adapters. I should clarify my question a little I think. What I want to know is, will the 1980 spindles work on my beams. Anybody else have any ideas?
they are very strong (as strong if not stronger then what you have now) and you can adapt any lug pattern you want! but if you ever sell the new wheels you can also go back to your original lug pattern as easy as unbolting your wheels!
btw...they use these kinds of adpaters on hardcore rockcrawlers and trail rigs...that's how strong they are.

The bolt patterns are the same anyway if I understand you correctly. The ranger has a smaller pattern than your fullsize but the hubs wont interchange. Bolt pattern didnt change on fullsizes untill 97, those hubs wont change either
79-effie,
I had the same problem when I HAD to have Centerline Auto Drags on my 64. Sent the fronts to Mosier (I think shipping cost me more than the work) and redrilled the rears myself on my drill press. Not too much trouble and I have the wheels I want.
Good Luck
Thanks Tiremine, but were those drums on your 64, and would that make any difference? We have an awesome machine shop locally, I'll talk to them. Thanks again to everyone for the replies.
