AS my mom said,"there isn't a bad beer". And no she wasn't an alchoholic - just German. I love all beer. Back in the early 80's when I was in school- my brother , a couple of friends , and I would every Tuesday buy 8 different kinds of beers from all over the world- never buying the same twice. After all that scientific testing I will say that the best beer I ever had was a can of Generic beer sold by the Dillions food chain & canned by Falstaff -- served at 33 degrees. That had the best taste of any of them- and that is comparing it to beers from all over the world. Depending on what you want out of a beer- tsing tao- is great with oriental food, diablo is the best buzz for the buck, michlelob is a just fine every day taste, budwieser a great biker picnic beer, and keystone isn't too bad when the chips are down. Of course guiness is good when you think it's st.paddys day, white elephant when you want a malt with your beer , and record 33 if you want to relive the french colonial times. The only bad beer I ever had was old milwaukee best( Fisherman beer) and Colt 45- the things these beers can do to your digestive tract are unmentionable. I will have to say heinken is touch and go as well due to alot of times it is skunk before it hits your mouth. When I am feeling German I like wersteiner. ALot of these micro brewerys make some good stuff/ some real bad too. After all it is just rotten water isn't it? My favorite micro brewery is the Freestate in Lawrence , Kansas- they have it to an art.
Coors original. Coors light ok when I am worried about carbs. Budweiser, I just cant understand how anyone drinks that stuff. We all call it headache in a bottle.
Yuengling Lager
Flying Fish (jersey thing kinda)
too many micro brews to remember
Has anyone every tried Blue Moon...it's supposed to be a belgian style beer, but Coors makes it. It's really good stuff.
BTW-Absinthe is made from wormwood. It's looks like a cross between lime and pea soup greens, and doesn't taste like much. Apparently, they don't make it like it was when Van Gogh cut his own ear off. There are still spots to find it I guess, where it's better then commercial grade, but I don't know for sure. It was definitely a different drunk though.
Back in highschool we was cool, remember Old English 800, what a sick buzz. Carl

Guinness
Newcastle
Bass
Dos XX Amber
Lafayette Brewing Co. Oatmeal Stout (from a local brewpub)
Anything I've home-brewed so far.
I'd have to agree that there's pretty much no such thing as a bad beer. Of course, I don't consider anything that comes in a can or a twist-off a beer. (Guinness doesn't count--that's a mini-mini-keg). It's also not a beer if the name contains "lite" or "light."
BTW, Yuengling comes from the oldest brewery in the U.S. Good stuff, too.
i usually drink yuengling or rolling rock when im buying. lately my friend has been drinkin miller light so i have been too......too many bad nights from calico jack and mezcal. after ive got enough beer in me ill switch to jagermeister, thats the only way its good. i like all german beers ive had as well. isn't that blue label a citrus tasting beer?
